Acceptable Use Policy

What you may not do with SyncLens.

Last updated 2026-09-03

Draft, pending counsel review. This document describes how SyncLens intends to operate. It is not yet the final agreement.

No non-consensual intimate imagery

Do not use the service to create, process, or handle non-consensual intimate imagery. This is an immediate-termination breach, and we act on reports of it.

No harassment or defamation

Do not use the service, or its reports, to harass, defame, or intimidate a person, or as part of a campaign to do so.

No attacks on the model

Do not attempt to reverse engineer, extract, or benchmark-game the models, or to probe for a way to make a manipulated clip read as authentic. Do not use outputs to train a competing model.

No misrepresenting a result

A SyncLens report is forensic evidence with a confidence band, not a verdict. Do not present a result as a definitive determination of authenticity, and do not strip the confidence band or the limitations context when you share one.

Volume and rate limits

Stay within the rate and volume limits of your plan. Do not run multiple accounts to get around the Free plan cap. Automated use requires a paid plan with an API key.

Security

Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service or to other users data.

Consequences

We may warn, rate-limit, suspend, or terminate an account for a breach, without refund, and we may report unlawful activity to the authorities.
