Terms of Service

The agreement between you and SyncLens for use of the service.

Last updated 2026-09-03

Draft, pending counsel review. This document describes how SyncLens intends to operate. It is not yet the final agreement.

The service

SyncLens provides audio-visual forensic analysis of media files. It returns a four-class result with a calibrated confidence band and the supporting evidence behind it. It does not return a verdict. A result is forensic evidence, not proof, and you are responsible for how you use it.

Accounts

You need an account to use the service. Give accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and take responsibility for activity under your account. You must be able to form a binding contract to use the service.

Acceptable use

Your use of the service is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks it.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly through Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. Usage is metered by minute of media analysed, not per file.

Each plan includes a monthly allowance. Usage beyond it is billed at the overage rate shown on the pricing page. Prices are early-access prices and may change with notice.

Your content

You keep all rights to the media you upload. You grant SyncLens a limited licence to process that media to produce a report, and to store the media and the report for the retention period of your plan. See the Retention Policy.

Our intellectual property

The service, the models, the interface, and the documentation belong to SyncLens or its licensors. These terms do not transfer any of those rights to you.

Disclaimers

The service is provided as is. A result is a probabilistic forensic indicator, not a determination of authenticity, and performance varies with the media. See the Known Limitations page. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, SyncLens is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability under these terms is capped at the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. On termination, your data is deleted in line with the Retention Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will give notice through the service or by email before it takes effect.

Governing law

The governing law and the venue for disputes will be identified here before launch.
